Uncovering Challenges Faced by Design Practitioners: Insights from Surveys and Subreddit Analysis
DRS 2024 - Submitted for review
We surveyed 75 design practitioners and analyzed r/userexperience and r/UXdesign subreddits to uncover common challenges in their daily work. Our findings reveal that in addition to grappling with ill-structured problems, designers frequently contend with issues related to misaligned expectations, communication breakdowns, burnout, and ethical and moral dilemmas.

Datamining project for CDC
Purdue Journal of Service-Learning and International Engagement - 2023
Working with the CDC, we analyzed the dailymed dataset on OTC liquid medicines for children. Due to misinterpretations and incorrect dosing devices, over 75,000 emergency visits occur annually. Despite CDC guidelines, many pharmaceutical firms haven't adopted them. We processed the dataset, highlighting inconsistencies, converted the data from JSON to CSV using Python, and presented our insights at the CDC’s PROTECT conference.
